Yarbaiwa Abkanam Charity Foundation (YACF): Established in 2008, YACF is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting women, orphans, widows, vulnerable children, the underprivileged, and individuals with physical challenges. The Foundation is committed to delivering comprehensive services to these groups by providing training, financial assistance, guidance, and orientation. Our goal is to empower individuals to achieve self-reliance and improve their overall well-being.
Over the years, numerous individuals—including women, people with disabilities, and orphans—have benefited from our support and training programs. These programs encompass a variety of skills, such as shoemaking, bag production, soap and oil manufacturing, food preparation, cake baking, and beverage creation. As a result, many participants have transitioned from dependency to self-sufficiency, reducing their reliance on societal assistance.
In collaboration with Ja’iz Bank, the Foundation has also facilitated access to capital for trained individuals, enabling them to start their own businesses based on various creative skills. This partnership has been instrumental in fostering entrepreneurship among our beneficiaries, allowing them to transform their newfound skills into sustainable sources of income. By providing micro-loans and financial literacy workshops, we ensure that our participants are not only equipped with skills but also with the knowledge to manage their finances effectively.
Beyond vocational training, YACF recognizes the importance of holistic support. We offer mentorship programs where experienced entrepreneurs guide our beneficiaries, helping them navigate the challenges of starting and running a business. This mentorship fosters a sense of community, encouraging collaboration and innovation among participants. Additionally, we organize regular workshops and seminars on topics such as marketing, customer service, and business planning, further enhancing the entrepreneurial acumen of our beneficiaries.
YACF also prioritizes mental health and emotional well-being, understanding that empowerment goes beyond economic independence. We provide counseling services and support groups to help individuals cope with the emotional challenges they may face. By creating a safe space for sharing experiences, we foster resilience and a sense of belonging among our participants./
As we look to the future, YACF remains steadfast in its mission to uplift marginalized communities. We envision a world where every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive and contribute positively to society. Through continuous innovation and collaboration, we aim to expand our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring that our beneficiaries are equipped to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
